Gem Hunting With a Dash of Greed
- Players: 3-8
- Best at: 6-8
- Playtime: about 30 minutes
- Price vibe: roughly 100-200 kr.
Why Diamant Is the Right Buy Right Now
Diamant is a push-your-luck game about exploring a treasure-filled cave. Each round, a card is flipped, and you decide together (but secretly) whether to keep exploring or head back to camp with your gems. Stay too long and a hazard might end the round and cost you everything you are carrying. Play it safe, and you might miss the jackpot.
It is simple, tense and surprisingly funny. If you want an easy game that can handle a big crowd and makes everyone gasp at the same time, Diamant is a great buy.
Why 6-8 Players Is the Sweet Spot
Bigger Crowds Make It Tenser
With more players, it becomes much harder to guess who will leave and who will stay. Each decision feels more dangerous and more exciting.
Shared Gems Get Smaller
The more explorers there are, the more your gems are divided, which pushes people to take risks. That is when the best choices (and the worst mistakes) happen.
Everyone Decides at Once
Because everyone chooses at the same time, a big group never slows down. Eight players can finish a game in the same time as four.
What About 3-5?
It works with fewer players, but there is less tension. Six to eight is where the fireworks are.
Who Should Buy It?
- Families and big groups
- Fans of push-your-luck games
- Hosts who need a quick game for many
- Anyone who loves a dramatic gamble
What Will It Cost?
Diamant usually costs around 100-200 kr. That is about a latte and a cinnamon bun, with far more treasure.
Verdict: A Gem of a Party Game
If you want a quick, tense game that gets better with a crowd, Diamant is a great buy. Remember: the cave never forgets greedy explorers.
